You don't suppose that this will just have the effect of making US equities cheaper and foreign equities more expensive, do you? When this kind of thing happens, it's called a bubble, and the buyers are the ones who suffer.

It's not a risk. It's an inevitability. In financial markets, taking an irrational action makes it more profitable for other people to be rational. In other words, the only effect of your movement will be to enrich moderates and Republicans. That is the only thing that will happen. US equities will get cheaper, and reasonable people will buy more. Foreign equities will get more expensive; we'll sell them short.

Your comment as a whole is beautiful: "Yes, this is stupid. Now, stop thinking and do it!"
